Medical Transport in Rabat

Medical transport refers to moving a patient aboard an equipped private ambulance, under the supervision of trained personnel, when their condition requires monitoring during the journey. Unlike an ordinary vehicle, SAMU Rabat’s private ambulance carries the necessary medical equipment — oxygen, suction, vital signs monitoring, an adapted stretcher — and a nurse escort when the situation calls for it. This service covers patients who are bedbound, on oxygen, post-operative or with reduced mobility. It complements our home nursing care and our home medical follow-up.

For patients arriving at or leaving from Rabat-Salé Airport, we provide door-to-door medical transport, coordinated with family and the medical team. On board, the private ambulance is equipped with oxygen, a suction device, monitoring equipment and a secured stretcher, with an escort matched to the patient’s level of dependency.
